Have a flight tomorrow out of Terminal C, gate 30 (until they inevitably decide to change it).
My girlfriend recently got a Capital One Venture credit card and we would like to check out the Cap1 lounge in Terminal D (near gate 22).
I'm not familiar enough with DFW other than I know there is a skybridge between the two terminals. Would it be smart to have the uber drop us off at Terminal D, check bags there, then just walk to our gate after visiting the lounge? Does checking bags at a different terminal we are leaving from increase likelihood of lost baggage? I've never gone out of my way for a lounge before. I'm assuming it will be about a 20 minute walk between them but any advice is appreciated!

I would check in at terminal C, go through security at C, and take the sky link to Terminal D to access the lounge.

The Skylink runs 24/7 and there's a train every 2 minutes. You won't need to walk from C to D.

I wouldn't gamble trying to check in at terminal D and hope your bags make it to C for the flight.

The Cap One lounge is nice. I've had a card for years but never fly through Dallas (I'm in Houston). Finally got to visit due to a cancelled flight out of PHL and a reroute. My BF has an AmEx, and we agreed it's better than the AmEx lounges we've been to.

Post how it goes for you. We have a flight on Friday and want to do the same thing. Flight is out of C, but we want to use the lounge (We never fly out of DFW anymore).

….what bkeith said. We have done it that way several times, and it's a piece of cake. Easy, convenient, quick.

This. We frequently check in at our terminal and then ride over to D because the food options there are so much better. Skylink is the way to go.

Dfw is super easy to get around.

Update: went through security at Terminal A (gate got moved to A)
Took skyline to terminal D, and from time getting on Skylink to being in lounge with a drink was 20 mins.
Left the lounge at 5:25 and time back to gate in terminal A was 5:39. Not bad!
