Eurostar to Paris. More to see.

Paris and Edinburgh are both great suggestions. If you have never been to Paris then definitely go there for a few days. More to see and it's all walking distance / easy Metro rides. Edinburgh and the surrounding area is great, but Paris is world class. It's also a quicker train ride on the Eurostar to Paris than the fast train from St Pancreas to Edinburgh Central.

First part of July? If so, go to Wimbledon.

Ireland and Scotland after that.

Keep in mind that the summer Olympics are in Paris in July/August 2024. That will significantly impact travel/hotel costs and availability during that time.

Could be hot. Not a problem until you don't have A/C. But I'd say Paris is the right answer.

Good call, wedding is also three days before the Tour de France finishes. So if we went to Paris, we'd probably need to do that on the front end of the trip.

We did several shows on West End and both were amazing.

Don't go to Paris during the Olympics. Big events make the city a complete ****show to get around. Can't imagine what the Olympics will do to it.

Living in the UK right now, Scotland is really nice, but I'd recommend the Lake District or Snowdonia if you are looking for a more outdoorsy vacation. They are all gorgeous but the latter 2 are easier to get to and you don't have to be as lucky to avoid significant rain.

More history base/city getaways, you can do Edinburgh and York in 4 days easily then spend another couple more exploring London and that's easy on the LNER out of Kings Cross.

I would second to stay in the UK and avoid Paris during the Olympics. There are many beautiful parts of the UK outside of London and the Southeast.

I've done two weeks in Wales / Cotswolds and 10 days in Northern England / Scotland in the last few years and loved every minute of it.

Wales
Brecon Beacons
Pembrokeshire Coast
Snowdonia

England
Peak District
Lake District
Yorkshire Dales
Cotswalds / Oxford / Silverstone if you're into F1
York
Dover / Canterbury

Scotland
Cairgorms
Isle of Skye
Loch Lomond and the Trossachs

I forgot about the Olympics. Good call to avoid Paris. It is my favorite city but not at that time.
