Hey guys. Thinking about taking the wife to a show at Red Rocks. Got any advice on hotels, parking/shuttles, which seats to buy, etc? Thanks.

Assuming you'd be flying to Denver?

Conifer Evergreen are super close. You can also stay in Idaho Springs or anywhere in Denver off 470. All of the seats are great. Some of the higher up seats get a better sunset and light show view after dark.

My brother goes pretty regularly and stays in Golden at the Table Inn. He loves it.

Golden is a great choice

Red Rocks is the greatest outdoor music venue ever, period.

But, there's not really anything around there even though you're really still in the Denver Metro area.

Rent a car and drive out there. Stay somewhere on the way to wherever you're planning to go after the concert. If you need some names of suburbs, Lakewood, Littleton, Highlands Ranch are all close enough.

If you are going to uber or hassle with parking I would just stay downtown or Cherry Creek.

We are going to Parker McCollum on 8/10 and staying at The Clayton in Cherry Creek. Only about a 25 min drive but really isn't any other area worth staying that is close to Red Rocks. Unless you simply want the shortest commute possible and don't care about the hotel. But atleast staying in Cherry Creek or downtown you have good food before show and other things to do the day of or day after.

I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said, but my suggestions, if fine with renting a car, would be Golden, Idaho Springs, or Black Hawk. Golden would offer pretty close proximity to Red Rocks, not too far of a drive from the airport, and it feels like a mountain town despite it being within the Denver metro area. Idaho Springs is the closest actual mountain town that is pretty nice with enough in the town and surrounding area to keep you busy that I can think of. There are other towns closer, but none I would consider worth staying in. Black Hawk would be a little further out than the other two options, but it's pretty neat as it has some pretty decent casinos surrounded by mountains.

If not wanting to rent a car there are shuttles you can take from downtown Denver to red rocks. I would imagine most of these would leave from Union Station in the LoDo neighborhood, which you can take a train to from the airport.

Edit to add: traffic in can definitely suck, but parking surprisingly hasn't been that bad for me the few times I've been. If you're fine with getting there and hour or so before the show begins I wouldn't imagine you would have much trouble and you can tailgate.
