Oh man - there's sooo much…

Hike to Mushroom Rock
Hike to Hanging Lake (reservations required)
Penny Hot Springs/Iron Mountain Hot Springs/Avalanche Ranch
Glenwood Adventure Park
Roaring Fork or Lower Colorado Rafting
Tubing from Dotsero to Bair Ranch or NN to Two Rivers
Mountain Biking all over
Doc Holliday grave
Day trip to Aspen or day trip to Vail through Indy Pass
Yoga Class at Epic Fitness or The Yoga Collective
Head to Marble for Devils Punchbowl / fill up w spring water/ see the old Lincoln memorial column.

Iron Mountain is way nicer than GWHS but it's a lot pricier. If you're going to GWHS make sure to get there EARLY or all of the chairs will be taken and most of the grass spots will be claimed.

For IM you have the kids area, the general area, and a 21+ upriver section. It's usually way more controlled of an explosion than GWHS but it's also $25 vs $44+ and includes all day access not just 3 hours.

GWHS has TONS more kids but we typically prefer the ambiance at IM.

Here's the summer concert series at 2R Park

The Third Street center in CD usually has some interesting vibes as well.

Hope you enjoy! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I can give ya lots of restaurants recs too

Ruedi Reservoir is also full and a blast. We went SUP there last Saturday and it was a blast. I've never seen it near this water level.

If you need to borrow inner tubes or a SUP, lmk.

Fly fishing the roaring fork or the frying pan rivers
Rent bikes and ride from Aspen down to Basalt
Lots of good restaurants in Basalt
Look for one of the local rodeos to attend - Snowmass, Carbondale, etc
What do you boys want for breakfast BBQ ?.....OK Chili.

Snowmass Rodeo may have the best people watching you've ever seen. It's HILARIOUS to see the $50,000 outfits some of them manifest under the guise of fashion.

Great recs, thanks. We are going to Vail after, so no need to go that far this part of the trip.vAnd with young kids, the only aggressive biking will be personal when they're resting.

What're the kids into? We have a 5,7, and 11yo.

Here's a solid list that the COC produces:

Here's info on the Rio Grande Trail from Aspen to Glenwood:

Don't know how young the kids are but a lot of solid golf up and down the Roaring Fork Valley. Side note for 5 years running pre-pandemic saw the random sports duo of Matt Kuchar and Lance Armstrong with their families at the Snowmass Rodeo.

Oh yeah - if you're renting a car, don't speed between Glenwood and Basalt. It's 25mph through town all the way from exit 116 past the 27th street construction zone and GarCo sheriffs have speed traps set all over the 55mph portion of 82 from Thunder River to Snowmass. When I drove to ASE to fly out on Thursday, they had 4 cars pulled over and the previous Saturday coming back from Snowmass, they had another 4-5 cars pulled over on the north board side.

And the City Market in CD is fantastic. Way better selection than the GWS store and way cheaper than Whole Foods or Natural Grocers. The CD CM reminds me a lot of HEB in TX.
