Was looking at pricing a rental through Avis and they have a mystery car option. The price for it is higher than most cars and trucks on their list. Anyone have experience with the mystery car and what'd you get?

I've done the mystery car twice. Once I got a new Ford Mustang and a few weeks ago out here in the Carolinas I got a Dodge Ram. It's kind of fun to see the surprise of what you're going to get

Dunno, but I rented from Avis last week and got a minivan with ants in it, smelled like smoke and part of the roof rack was hanging on by a thread and banging around up there as I rolled down the freeway. Good times!

I've done it a few times. The best car I got was a Toyota 4Runner. The worst car I got was Kia Forte.
