Planning a last minute trip to escape the Texas heat. Suggestions on areas to stay? Looks like a ton of condos, etc available.

We stayed at corral condos couple weeks ago. Right on edge of town and easy walking distance to everything

Somewhere walking distance to stuff Parking sucks ass. Or somewhere a bit out of town for better privacy and just deal with parking when going in.

May I suggest Ouray instead of Breck?

Parking in Breck is a hassle however when we were there this week parking was very easy to come by especially during the week. My lazy in laws wouldn't walk the 600 yards from our condo into town so they drove and parked the entire time. Prolly spent $150 in parking as well. Also many of the condos in town are serviced by the free trolleys/buses so that makes it easier if you don't want to walk everywhere.

We have a daughter that lives in Golden so we go up that way fairly often. There are lots of good Airbnb's there. We were there last summer and did some horseback riding, hiking and whitewater rafting. It may be too late to go rafting. There is also good fishing in the area. Lots of good areas to explore around there.

My wife and I are headed back up there next week.
