Anyone have any recommendations of one vs the other? Getting married in October and we're trying to decide between the two, preferably all inclusive. Both are relatively easy to get to and have tons of resort options.

I can't speak to Aruba, but PV's only downside in my opinion is the beaches can be rocky in a lot of spots. Think gravel type sand right near the water and in the water. We've stayed at Garza Blanca down south, and St Regis up North. Supposedly some of the area around grand velas and others there have nicer beaches. That said PV is one of our top 3 long weekend travel spots. Amazing food and views. You won't go wrong

Puerto Vallarta will be easier to get to and you get more bang for your buck. Water won't be bright pretty blue, it will be more deep blue/brown.

Aruba - longer flights. All-inclusives there are more expensive, and typically subpar to what you can get in other locations. Most prefer to not go all-inclusive in Aruba. Water is the pretty blue there. Beaches can be very windy.

If you need help my email is in my profile.

You are going in the heart of hurricane season, I would chose Aruba for that reason alone.

For a honeymoon, check out Hotel San Angel. Incredibly romantic.

My Wife and I did our honeymoon in Aruba and absolutely loved it. We did not do all inclusive because of the number of great restaurants we wanted to try. Aruba was a safe island where you can move about freely via taxi.

I would have no problem recommending Aruba. The only AI we have stayed at was the RIU (which was ok, not bad, but not knock your socks off). The location was good and close by to other restaurants etc.

I have never been to PV, so nothing to compare against. In typical TexAgs fashion, I would also consider other islands if the budget and travel allows.

Maybe i'm overthinking it, but i'm trying to avoid some of the potential weather hazards that come with the carribean. Went to puerto rico a few years back in October and it rained every day we were there.

Not sure how much rain the pacific side of mexico gets, which is why PV is tempting. Cabo also
