Have a free day in pagosa springs. I hear the springs are really hot. Are there any public spots that aren't too hot for kids?

There are springs in the river right in the middle of town. If you go down there, you'll see people sitting in certain spots and figure out where they are. They can be hard to identify just from above with the river flowing, but ask around and people will point you in the right direction.

The Springs also does day passes and there are various tubs all at different temps, but it is pretty expensive and not something I would usually recommend unless you're looking for it to really be a full day.
The Overlook across the street is cheaper, but it is really just tubs to relax in and not somewhere I'd think of taking kids.

Highly recommend tubing if the flow rate is appropriate. As mentioned above, there are several hot springs you will notice along the river you can soak in…assuming flow isn't crazy hogh
