Heading to Whistler for a week in July with the family (2 young kids), any recommendations from people who've been?

If you have a car, Duffy Lake Road to Lillooet is/was rated as on of the top 10 most scenic drives in North America. But not sure how your kids would do driving around all day.

Cool, may be worth a trip, looks like it's only a couple of hours - we'll see how they do on the drive from Seattle to gauge it ha.

This isn't f16 or the gen board. No need to be a dick, whether intended or not.

Great place. I also recommend on the way or on the way back to ferry over to Vancouver Island and visit Victoria and Butchart Gardens.

OP here is some of the stuff in the area we enjoyed over multiple trips. Whistler was cool and the peak to peak was a unique ride. But overall, I found the mountain to be lacking in summer activities compared to most major ski areas. You are getting around the big bill by having a free place to stay.

Squamish has sea-sky gondolas, access to Shannon falls, kids activity center (ropes) and tons of inshore fishing charter/guides.

Joffre Lakes/ Mt matier is some of the most beautiful hiking in the province. There is limited access so need to reserve in advance.

Most of the beaches are rocky but there is good bay kayaking out of both Brunswick Beach, and out near Bowen Island (much stronger currents at the latter). Brunswick Beach also sits at the bottom of Mt Brunswick, which is a good hiking area.

Finally, further south into suburbs of VAN you have whytecliff Beach area, Capilano lake with suspension bridges/hiking, and grouse mtn (also a ski hill).

Enjoy your trip, and sorry if I hurt your or board police feelings, I wanted to write this up for you but had a screaming infant to deal with and not in the best of moods.

I was there two weeks ago. We stayed at Blackcomb Spring Suites. Sits on one of the ski runs. Shuttle to the village every 15 minutes (5 minute shuttle ride). Has a ball. Rented E-Mountain bikes (highly recommended) and rode some of the trails around the lakes. Lots of place in the Village itself, but will pay a premium.

After we left Whistler we took the ferry over to VI and spent 3 days in Tofino. Was an amazing trip.

Was there last week. Fairmont is where we stayed, great hotel.

We did a nice family hike to Lost Lake. About 1.5 hour round trip. Nice and easy.

Peak to peak gondola was great. We saw several black bears on the way up from Blackcomb.

Village was nice to walk around, but nothing special. Not big on shopping.

Did a fly fishing outing, was in float tube mostly. Rivers too high to fish right now close to Whistler. When you go it might be better. Did well out of the float tube.

Wife and daughter did horseback riding out of Pemberton.

Pizza at Creekbread was very good. You have to reserve a table the day of though, no walk-ins I don't believe.

Have fun!!

Is Canada still full on Coronatard? Ie, do you still need to show 7 jabs to get into the country. Not trolling. Serious question. Would love to visit Lake Louise in the summer.
