Agreed. 2 hours is plenty of time. FRA is the most blah airport…similar to IAH, but it is efficient to get through.

Should be enough time. That airport does have the most convoluted rental car pick-up system though. That one, you might need more than hours for.

Can't remember the terminal numbers but took a flight arriving from Barcelona then transfered to an international flight back to Houston - had about 50 minutes between landing and boarding the 2nd flight - just barely made it. there was a backup in an area checking passports before the US bound flight that held us up. 2 hours should be plenty.

I've flown through there 7-10 times. I wouldn't go shorter than 2 hours. Last time I was there (fall 2022) IAH to Frankfurt to transfer to a flight to France the non EU passport line was a mile long. Took me 1:15 to get through it. People were losing their minds. Other times not at bad but still a 15-30 min wait. These were all morning arrivals from US overnight flights.

Just don't try to make sense of it and follow the signs. Should be plenty of time although it'll feel like you're walking in random directions.

You are good, most internationals land a bit early provided they leave on time. wear your walking shoes.

I will say sometimes the planes do not park at a jet bridge. We parked a good ways away from the terminal and was bussed over to immigration. Granted I don't think this would have added much time, but we did have deplane down stairs and pack like sardines into a shuttle. Probably on the bus 5 minutes or so. I didn't have a connecting flight so cannot speak to that. We were maybe in the immigration line 10 minutes?

No. Just carry ones.

Pretty sure the Frankfort airport only has one terminal, you might want to ensure your travel docs are correct.
