How long do you want to ignore this user?
My daughter is going to a camp at Penn St this summer and it looks like I might be flying solo for a week. Anyone have recommendations on a place to set up for a week?

I'd love something more isolated and out in nature, maybe some fly fishing or hiking, but it wouldn't be bad to have some civilization nearby too for a good dinner in town. But mostly looking at this time alone as a mental retreat with scenery and nature as opposed to going to a big town/city.

Any recommendations?

You won't find a big city in Central PA...
Hit up the Creamery while dropping your daughter off.

There are a lot of great state parks and game lands that are a short drive. My husband likes Moshannon Lake and Creek for fly fishing. And Susquehannock State Forest.

If you happen to be a Martin Guitar fan you can tour their manufacturing in Nazareth PA - super awesome tour! Can hit up Hersey after.

Thank you both for the recommendations! The Martin Guitar factory tour sounds awesome, I own a Martin although I don't play as much anymore.

Gettysburg would be amazing to see as well, I might have to make that trip.
