Taking the 13 year old and 10 year old to San Diego next month.

Want to do the zoo, Legoland, possibly the Safari Park. Open to other ideas.

I've heard there are some deals to be had if you know where to look for tickets to these places.
Anybody have any tips?

If budget allows, look into the special "experiences" at Zoo and Safari park. Those can provide some truly memorable experiences.

Legoland was fun but our guy was 5 at the time. He's 13 now and I think would get a little bored to be honest. YMMV.

We did not do this on our trip but I would look into the Maritime Museum and a visit to the USS Midway.

Get the city pass

It includes all those things you want plus a lot more we used it to do to a ton of stuff incluing Balboa Park and the outdoor stuff at La Jolla

We took a trip up the coast and did KNotts Farm which was included

If you have time spend one night in La Jolla. Do a kayak cave tour. We did it with our kids when they were probably 11 and 9.
