My wife and I are heading out Sunday for 10 days and taking our two oldest grand kids this time. (7&9, both boys)
They are great travelers, so this doesn't worry me at all.
Just the wife and I went last Thanksgiving for 10 days.
Being the cheap skate I am, and having poo loads of points, I did the unspeakable:
Booked it all on points via 3 separate trips with 2 different airlines.
AA - AUS to LAX
Delta - LAX - HND
AA (Japan Airlines) HND - OKI
Only tight connection is @ LAX, but we're carrying on everything. Don't need much plus staying at my son's house.
If this all works out 4 people Austin to Okinawa: about $500
