The family and I just got back and all I can say is what a great vacation! Dixie Dude is the oldest family run dude Ranch in the state and bonus ran by a fellow Aggie (not sure if Clay or his son are on here)
We went out Thur-Sun and had a blast! My kids loved every moment of it. We unfortunately only got 4 trail rides in but that was our scheduling issue, the allow for 2 per day including your check in and out day. Family style meals for every meal was an awesome experience.
We met another young family who had kids the same age as ours so that was a fun bonus along with getting to share in a family reunion which was really entertaining.
Dixie Dude is located in Bandera and I guarantee it would become a yearly trip for us if not for the 4.5HR drive from Houston
