Flying international and have a long 8 hour layover at LAX. Flight arrives around 7 am and then my next flight is at 3. Thinking I have plenty of time to do a tour of either SoFi Stadium which is about 10 minutes away, or possibly Dodger Stadium which is 30 minutes away. I've only been to LA a couple times and know it's notorious for horrible traffic. Any concern I don't make it back in time? If I already have my boarding pass I would just have to go through security which shouldn't be bad on a Wednesday.

Also, anyone know if LAX has a baggage hold?

It took us over 2 hours to get from airport gate to gates of dodger stadium when we went last time not during rush hour. We rented a car though. Can't help with your other questions. Have fun!

Depends what your budget is whether you rent versus Uber.

Are you switching Airlines or will your luggage be checked straight through?

I don't know of any baggage lockers at LAX but there could be, I've never looked.

Flying in on Delta, leaving on Air Italia (I know, I know LA to Rome? Trust me I'm pissed, but not much I can do about it. One of those situations by my company where cheapest flight took precedent over my comfort and ease). Just going to do a carry on. So hoping I can leave it at LAX somewhere.

I would do Uber to either of the stadiums. SoFi looks really easy to do and has plenty of tours that are just an hour long. More of a baseball guy though and would rather see Dodger Stadium if possible.

Go to dodger stadium. You've got time. Your company sucks for forcing that itinerary. I would be eating at expensive restaurants on their dime every meal if mine tried some BS like that.

I would double check with TSA that you can leave the security area on the layover. Not saying you can't, but TSA gets wierd about wierd things.

I'll share a vote in favor of an Uber/Lyft or a taxi. I believe they are still constructing the new rental car facility, and LAX is notorious for taking up to an hour just to get to the scattered rental locations. Shuttle bus service is spotty, and congestion is terrible. That could really impact your schedule.
