You're in Latvia for work and have an unexpected 4 day weekend. Where you going?

There is a bus line called lux express that that goes Tallinn-Riga-Vilnius-Warsaw and it's awesome. My family took a flyer after some embassy workers in Romania recommended it and it was great. I would use the time to see Riga for a day and then spend time in Tallinn or Vilnius. If you are into craft beer, Rigs had a big neighborhood with close to a dozen breweries that are within walking distance of each other. The bus goes to sketchy bus stations but really close to town and much better than the airports. We spent three years in Europe and saw many places but the one place I still can't quite get over is Vilnius in Lithuania. If you study up on the history there it's pretty tied in with Poland which is fascinating. It was much cleaner and nicer than most of the former Communist nations and just really surprised us. Tallinn in Estonia is really cool and reminds me of some of the Nordic countries but still with some of the Eastern European grit. Either way, I'd say stick with the Baltic region, it's definitely unique!

Yes, Lux is great. I took it to Tallin last year. I really enjoyed Tallin, it's a great little city. I will have to plan a weekend trip to Vilnius, sounds like a neat place as well. It has been on my list, but hadn't heard much about it. Guess I should've done a little more research. I ended up deciding to go to Prague.

Maybe Amsterdam, Den Haag and Scheveningen. Riga to Schipol might give you some good options. That might be what I'd do.
