Can someone recommend a great hotel on the beach? Excellent service and pampering is a plus.

try sunset key cottages or ocean key resort as they looked really nice when we were there last week. We stayed at Casa Marina but they are closing for renovations for 5 months.

If you are looking to Key West for a "beach" vacation you are going to be very. Very. Disappointed. Then I'll make fun of you.

One of my favorite places on earth, but it is a rock with a couple of man made beaches.

My first thought as well.

The Reach is also a Hilton property and has an agreement with Casa Marina to use both beaches. But it's about the only beach you'll find on the island.

I'm glad to hear Casa Marina is doing renovations. Stayed there over New Years and I wouldn't stay there again. I booked with points but I would have been upset if I had paid full price.
