Headed to Kiawah for a golf trip, have one night in Charleston to kill.

What is the best area / hotel to stay at (restaurants/ bars)? I want the seafood!!

anywhere around King St, Meetting St., or E Bay St. around French quarter area is perfect.

Try to make it two days to kill. Great food and scenery. More than one day is necessary unless you plan on coming back to the area

Anything Calhoun st and south you won't need the car until kiawah. As another poster said, you're gonna want two nights. One night in Charleston just won't leave you satisfied

We stayed at a VRBO on Coming Street near Morris ... two blocks from King. It was an easy walk to all the restaurants and shops. There are several very nice hotels on King Street if you just need one night.

We like the Vendue Hotel. Walkable to everything and has a cool rooftop bar

We stayed at The Saint Hotel last year. It was fairly new & in a great location. Rates were better than some of the chain places further north which was very odd. I see they have renov, changed the name & reopening.

Stayed at the Emeline Hotel right near N/S Market Streets and we could walk almost everywhere. Only Ubered once in three days or so. 167 Raw Oyster Bar and The Ordinary were both incredible seafood.

Stayed at Vendue, didn't think the room or hotel itself was all that amazing honestly but it was a great location for us.
