Staying at an airbnb. Looking to spend a day at a beach with umbrellas, chairs, drinks. Where should we go?

Also, are the streets safe to walk at night? We'll be staying near the ferry drop off.

We've always stayed at Ixchel so I'm not sure about the beach clubs there. The ones around that hotel seemed fine. I'd think it would be hard to go wrong.

I've felt safe on the streets there at night. I'm typically not out super late but walking back after a dinner (9:00pmish) never felt unsafe.

We were there a few years ago so I can't remember which beach club we hung out at but they were all decent. I don't recall any sticking out.

And yes everything seemed safe to walk around at night but just like the above poster we weren't out at all hours of the night.

Tarzan's is great for drinks/snacks but they don't have a huge area for umbrellas and beach chairs. We really like Green Demon for their drinks and food. They also have a nice setup with umbrellas and lounging "beach beds". It also not so crowded/congested in that area.

The streets are definitely safe to walk at night. Especially the "downtown" area on Hildago. We go all over the island at night though and never feel unsafe.

Headed to Isla for the first time in July. Heard nothing but good things

Guru Beach Club is awesome.

We really like Kin Ha on the south side of the island. Rope swing, kids slide and paddle boards and a few other activities. Been there twice and enjoyed it both times.
