Got 4 guys headed down in middle September for a bachelor hang out. We're all middle to late 30's and are pretty much over the party scene. We just want to drink and relax without our kids and wife's bugging us (joking LOL).

Looking for any recommendations or tips. Me and another buddy would probably like to venture out and away. We're both tequila lovers and even bigger taco lovers.

Thanks in advance!

I would move your stay to Dreams next door.

That Secrets is the worst rated one one out there. Several travel agents up and left recently it was so bad.

While the Dreams is family friendly, you have full access to Secrets. So I put my clients on the Dreams side and they can walk over and spend their days at Secrets if they want to.

If you stay at Secrets, I would just expect to have pretty low expectations. It's on my do not sell list unless someone signs a waiver.

Where would you recommend under about $1000-1200 per person for 4 nights (including flights / ground transportation but not excursion or spending money)?

For about 20-24 people. Doesn't have to be Cozumel or Cancun, could be in between or somewhere else that's easy and cheap to fly to.

I usually love all Secrets except that one. Hard Rock Riviera Maya has an adults only side with a night club, but may be a little more partyish than you want. Secrets Riviera Cancun is quiet and you have access to Breathless party resort next door (most restaurants are on the Breathless side). Hard Rock Cabo is great (can't get in ocean). Planet Hollywood. Valentin.

Feel free to message me. I'm happy to assist and my services are free. With that people people I can possibly get a small discount or other perks.

These 2 resorts are stellar: Secrets Akumal or Secrets Moxche

Unfortunately, I'm not in charge of booking or deciding anything. I'm pretty much along for the ride. Do you have access to dreams if you're booked at secrets?

No. You can't go from Secrets to Dreams, only the opposite because everything st Dreams is Preferred Club Rooms. The main reason to stay at dreams would be so you had the brand new rooms and better food. But you still could enjoy all the amenities at Secrets.

It's just four guys so tell the other dudes that you've heard some ****ty reviews on the place you have booked. No harm in that because y'all want to have a great time. Plenty of time to change it to a better place and trust JMac's word, she knows the resorts and will help you.

Could not agree more with JMac03. Secrets is a solid brand but after touring this property last December no way wound I have a client there. Agree that Dreams is a much better option

Do you have any knowledge about Secrets Maroma Beach? I'm going there next month.

It is one of my fave resorts. Amazing beach (hope seaweed isn't bad). Really good food and service.

The only complaint that I had when I stayed there was our first night we were in a swimup room. It was so noisy because everyone walks past your room to go to their rooms. And people don't know how that be quiet in the hallways. The next few nights we were up on the second floor, and it was very quiet. The resort is sort of set up in a "U" and do people walk past your rooms to get to theirs depending where they are coming from.

We loved the French restaurant.

I will say the mosquitoes can be terrible. It's for about a 30 to 60 minute window each night. Our room had bug spray, but I don't know if that was because we were in a preferred club room or regular.

You should have a great time.

Thank you for the info- we're doing the preferred club swim out so we'll see what happens. How bad is the airport traffic, bad as the rumors?

Another Texager said arrival was a breeze. He heads home tomorrow so I don't know yet. But most haven't been complaining. The main issue that I've been seeing if you have to wait longer at the airport for your Transfers because it's taking the others longer to get back.

Assuming your transfer is picking you up pretty early, I suggest getting passes to the Mera business lounge at the airport. It's $33 for three hours. But I would definitely buy ahead of time because they sell out. It's not big but beats being in the main terminal with everyone else.

Less clubby for sure. How would your rates compare to something Costco would list, and extra incentives you might have, etc?

We have 12 rooms and almost all, if not all, would have 2 people.

As far as service, you would get my knowledge and expertise, versus somebody at a call center, who may have never stepped foot in the destination. As far as rates sometimes I beat them sometimes I can't.

I can tell you by booking 12 rooms, there is a good chance that you would get one room free with me, just depends on resort.

My services are free to you.

Perks depend on the resort and the number of rooms booked.

I was supposed to stay at Dreams Cozumel Cape with a group last July but it was still under construction. Instead, they moved everyone to Sunscape and have a voucher for a free Dreams stay. After reading reviews about the bed bugs and food, I bowed out. The ones who did go ate a lot of meals at Secrets. Several in the group who went came back with food poisoning and they all hated Secrets. I would avoid.
