So, following up on my earlier post about a layover in Jakarta, just realizing we've got 15 hours in Singapore.

Quick glance across Google looks like this could be a decent time between all of the airport amenities + a trip into the city.

Thoughts, recommendations?

That's more than enough time.

- Marina Bay Sands, go up to Ce La Vie or Spago.
- Walk around the marina
- go see raffles hotel
- Walk around Boat Quay
- Arab street
- Have a chili crab somewhere.. red house or jumbo's
- Shopping on orchard road
+1 for a meal at Din Tai Fung. Order the Xiao long Bao, the Chili vinegar wontons and fried pork fried rice are really nice too.

Man, Din Tai Fung is amazing, but if you've got a very limited time in Singapore, is it worth going to a place that you can also go to here in the States? Is the original location that much better that its worth your limited time?

I'd do Din Tai Fung regardless of the situation.

Also look at Old Airport Road Food Centre

I also might head over to Hainanese Delicacy Chicken & Rice in Far East Plaza, 5th floor stall 116.

Chili crab is good but will require a shower change of clothes before a long haul flight. Also if you going to be sitting for 16 hours on a flight out of Singapore a trip to the massage place is a win-win because you can get showered and cleaned up there and head back to the airport.

Taiwanese beef noodle soup place on the 2nd floor food court at Changi.

Also a fan of Ya Kun Kaya Toast (various locations) for light breakfast.
