For those headed up the Texan Ski trail tomorrow, WATCH OUT.

We drove home today and I counted over 20 troopers along the way. Heavy contingency around Colorado Springs, Raton, Clayton and then every little town on 287 passed Amarillo.

I've driven this road countless times and rarely see more than 5-6 on the 800 mile trek from DFW.

Saw less than 5 driving up last Saturday.

Speed limit is mostly 75 and I was cruising at 82 or 85. Passed MANY over a hill and never got popped going 82. They were making money today.

Edit to add: New TootNTotum Valero in Clayton is NICE. Screw that Love's - never stopping there again. Also, it has RV only gas pumps for you people heading up this summer. BBQ sandwich was pretty good.

Pilot stop on south side of 287 in Childress (near wal mart) has really nice bathrooms.

Where do we write a letter to tell Bucees to get that location in Amarillo going NOW. The Love's on the loop east of town is awful.
