We are supposed to leave for Mexico on Friday and just realized my daughter's passport expired in August. Is there any way, regardless of cost, this can be renewed tomorrow and she can still go with us?
Left a VM and email for Michael McCaul....Hail MaryJustPanda said:
Congressional appointments can get you in anywhere! Seriously, you need to call your congressman's office.
Maybe it's a sign.The Silverback said:

Also I'm guessing OP already looked into this but is there not a passport agency in Austin? You'd think there would be.

This was a few years before covid, but I had a similar dilemma and was. I went to the Houston passport office downtown as soon as they opened, the line wasnt very long, and I was able to get my passport a few hours later. No appointment necessary. My fight was the same day.
I had to show same day travel itinerary, passport photos, pay an expedited fee, and I brought all the necessary paperwork from the website.

Update....Someone in MM office called us back at like 2 today, needed to get something signed they emailed over and the lady said they typically need more time but will work on it and see what they can do.
But we had to make arrangements for her to fly to her Grandmas house in Denver solo....so she is at the airport with my wife now and boards in 20 mins since our flight leaves at 8 AM tomorrow morning. So unless there is a Christmas miracle she will be in Denver for Spring Break while the rest of us (2 more kids and in-laws) go to Punta Mita. Whirl wind of a day to say the least.
Our fault and we feel like ***** Will definitely put a damper on our trip.
Why would they put a US Passport office in a city populated by college students, government leeches and homeless?barbacoa taco said:

all of that logic and your story is great and dandy, but there's a passport agency in hot springs AK, Stamford CT, and Portsmouth NH.HollywoodBQ said:Why would they put a US Passport office in a city populated by college students, government leeches and homeless?barbacoa taco said:

Versus say, Houston where lot of people have to travel overseas for work.
True story, I'm sitting at the bar at Chili's in the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, eavesdropping on some good old boy oilfield worker telling a colorful story which involved his wife going up I-45 in "Youston" to get to Intercontinental.
I've never heard anybody overseas tell colorful stories about back home where back home meant Austin.
It's not like Robert Mueller Airport was a massive international travel hub.
I figured they would have passport offices in most major American cities. But according to this map they are pretty few and far between. I've never had to use one, I just get my photo taken and send off all my materials and get my passport. So I guess this makes sense.HollywoodBQ said:Why would they put a US Passport office in a city populated by college students, government leeches and homeless?barbacoa taco said:
