Considering a few days over my wife's spring break. Moab and possibly Vegas and sites in between.
Thanks!

We've had good luck there in March. It can snow in higher elevations in Utah but cleared out once we reached Moab (and Capitol Reef). We've been to Zion over two spring breaks and had a little snow on the canyon floor for about a day. Again, the upper elevations had snow.

We've been twice during spring break in the last 5 or 6 years.....It can be a bit chilly but it's great.

Good to hear! May stick with Zion and Vegas.

Did Moab in March about 20 years ago. Got snowed on, but was great temps during the day, typically.

Funny thing......we had a spring break trip planned to Moab for this year but the kids complained because we went there last year for Spring Break so we canceled a week or so ago and re-booked everything for Smoky Mountians.

FF to today and now that we're within 10 days out we can check the weather and its supposed to rain and snow all week in the Smokies, so we're rebooking Moab!

Top two tips I have.....

1. If you can get a permit for Fiery Furnace in Arches NP, GET IT! They are available a week prior on Recreation.gov and sell out in seconds. But it's the overwhelming favorite family hike we've done.

2. The Tri-Tip Burger at Moab Brewery....voted by both myelf and my burger connoisseur son as our favorite burger in the country.

Agree on fiery furnace. We haven't done it yet because they had shut down the area during Covid. But it's #1 on the list when we return.

If you're adventurous, look into canyoneering the slot canyons. If you can get over to Hanksville, it's even better.

In Arches, the earlier you're there, the better. It can get crowded. Some months require pre-purchased entry passes so plan ahead. March might not be one of those months.

If you can, get down to Chesler Park in the Needles area of Canyonlands. We did a guided 4x4 tour over Elephant Hill.

Any recommendations on guides for canyoneering or 4x4ing? I may have peaked my sons interest

Thanks for all the comments! We are going to fly into Vegas, stay in Springdale for a few days and check out Zion, and then two days in Vegas. I'd like to visit Moab later this year.

Desert Highlights for Moab canyoneering.
Navtec Expeditions for 4x4 the Needles.

For Zion canyoneering, we use Zion Adventure Company (Amy or Cody are my usual guides)
