Sitting in the Cancn airport for the next three hours because our transfer had a 4 hour mandatory pre flight transfer. Anyhow. Wow! What a great place. Food was awesome. Beach was awesome. Drinks were great. Staff was exceptional. Really great experience and recommend it highly.

Now off to waste three hours shopping souvenirs. Well played Mexico!

That airport is the worst.

I would rather be there 4 hours early than missing your flight. My TA groups are filled with how hot of a mess the construction is right now and it is causing massive delays. People are paying for private transfers and they end up shared because the vehicles can't get to the airport. People getting out of cars and walking to the terminals. It was bad at first, then got better, and has been terrible the past 2 weeks again. I'm dreading for my clients arriving there soon but I did at least prepare them for what has been happening.

From airport to hotel zone there was no construction or traffic. Literally made it in 17 minutes coming here this AM. Can't speak for Carmen or Majures.

Have you checked to see the airport lounge is full? If you have 3 hours it might be worth the $30-$40 price tag (although it isn't fancy). The one in Terminal 4 is nicer than in 3. But it often fills up quickly.

Have not. We board in 15 minutes but worth noting for next time. Thanks for your help as always!

weirdest experience.. we flew out of CUN on 1/31. Check bags, go through security, then start looking for the club that my priority pass gets in. The first club we see says 'no longer taking priority pass'.. aw hell. I look at the app, and I see the one I'm looking for is landside, by the check in, right where we came in the airport!

So then we try to leave security.. easier said then done. Lots of funny looks, and confused airport workers. We had 3 hours, so I'm not worried about time too much.

Finally get to that damn club, go upstairs, see some food saran wrapped on a table, and grab some. Worker lady comes by and says 'these are displays.. they are quite old so you don't want to eat them'

Proceed to order food on the phone.. it takes a good 10-15 min. I'm thinking, don't these people know that visitors here are on time constraints? Why don't they just have food out??


All in all, a memorable club visit.

I didn't even know they had the one outside. I wasn't happy when I lost access to the lounge in the airport since we fly out of 3. I think it may allow you in Terminal 4 but I could be wrong. And who on earth wants a lounge outside of the terminal.

I learned my lesson last year and purchased my passes ahead of time knowing that it fills up very quick.

Staying at Hyatt Ziva in June since Zilara was out of budget!

We've done Ziva in Cancun, Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. All of them were great and would go back to any of them again.

We did ziva Cancun 5-6 years ago. The adults only tower 'turquoise'.
What a cool location on the island, with ocean on 3 sides.

Yeah i have been to Ziva multiple times in PVR. Good spot, private beach, can walk to town or 5 min uber.

I lied, going to Haven not Ziva. Either way it's a getaway!

we were at zilara 2 weekends ago. enjoyed and would recommend.

Going to Hyatt Zilara in Cap Cana in July, will report back .

Went to Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya (south of Cancun towards Playa del Carmen) last week. Highly recommend. Food was really good. Drinks fine (typical semi-weak all inclusive). Nothing a few tequila shots can't fix.

I've haven't stayed at Hyatt Zilara. When browsing for articles suggesting hotels with good party atmosphere for me and my buddies I heard of the "Temptation". But if you are looking for relaxation or even a family friendly option, the article also covers it.

It was definitely an older crowd but to my surprise they had a foam party with what I'm sure were off duty strippers twerking for a couple of hours. The crowd didn't seem to mind though. Other than that it was very relaxed with great food and staff.

This was my fourth stay in a Cancun and definitely the best but also most expensive we have stayed at.

Curious how much it is.

We went to cancun ziva 2018, we paid $1878 for 4 nights for two adults for Concierge Service, Oceanfront (Turquoize Ocean Front Master)

If you are a fan of Ziva/Zilara, I highly recommend Cap Cana. It's by far, in my opinion, the best of the bunch.

Only downside is they struggle with sargassum (like many other locations).
