Anyone been post covid or have any that you would recommend? Looking to take the family in June. I did a search on here and saw some older thread from years ago. Trying to see if anyone would have any recent insight on any all inclusive places to look into. THANKS!

There are some nice family friendly all inclusive resorts in Jamaica…most popular one you will hear is Beaches Ocho Rios or Beaches Negril but those can definitely get pricey.
I've some clients that really like the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Iberostar Rose Hall as well.

All just depends on your budget and what kind of experience you want.

Moon Palace usually prices well as 2 children stay free with 2 adults. Beach area is smaller though and you can see the cruise ships if they are in port. But they have several included activities for the kids.

Hyatt Ziva was nice when I stayed but it's been awhile. Hilton has a small water park but it is definitely more of a mid level resort, not high end. Beaches Negril has the most things for kids to do. Personally I never quote Beaches Ocho Rios because it gets a lot of complaints from other travel agents about how badly it needs a refresh.

Azul and Royalton are on nice beaches but reviews are pretty mixed.

Curious if you booked anything. I'm thinking about doing the same thing with my family in June.

Hedo 2 probably what you're looking for.

Have you read the travel warnings issued by Jamaica?

We did the Dunn Falls excursion while on a cruise last year it was pretty cool.

They have had those travel warnings (or some variation of) for many years. I typically just warn my clients not to leave the resorts unless on scheduled excursions or transportation with reputable companies. Granted I also tell them that it is a personal choice. Everyone's level of safety is different.

No, haven't booked anything. Keep going in circles on what we really want. Dang, things of expensive!

Need to read up on that travel warning. Thanks for mentioning it!

We did Beaches Negril when the kids were younger, the beach is amazing and it's a good option for under-10.

I'll repeat the comment that I probably posted on one of the older threads about this; when we did an excursion down the coast towards Hedonism II the guide noted that "Hedonism where you make da be-bes, Beaches where you take da be-bes!"

So just keep that in mind.

Jamaica and family friendly aren't things I usually think of together.

I've been the Beaches Ocho Rios post covid with my family and headed to Beaches Negril in August. Lots of my clients enjoy the Beaches properties but also be mindful that's it's an hour and half drive after landing in MBJ.
Popular resorts with my clients are Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Royalton.
Now as for the travel alert, I recommend to be wise just like you would be here in the states. If you do an excursion book with Resort or reputable company.
Everyone's level of comfort and safety level is different, for me I travel solo in other countries and also do with my 7 and 8 year old.
Really important also is to look at flight prices, I have lots of clients that want Jamaica but when considering budget Mexico is a more Economical option with flight prices
