Going to Dubai for work for a week. Anything I can't miss while I'm there? Restaurants that you've been? TIA!

Lived there for three years. Desert dinner at Bab Al Shams, I would say is a must do. They have a dinner show with belly dancers (tasteful) and riders on horseback that have a short fight scene with swords that is pretty cool. Food is really good too (Arabic Barbecue). It's about 30 minutes into the desert, but if time allows, you might consider staying there for 2-nights, enjoying their beautiful pools and going to the desert dinner in the evening. Ski Dubai is pretty cool to see at Mall of the Emirates also.

Burj Al Arab - (You'd need to dress-up) but the Sky Bar at Burj Al Arab is a great reservation and way to get inside the Burj Al Arab without having to pay $2K+ per night to stay there. It's a beautiful place.

Remember this place called Buddha Bar that was pretty cool. Food was tip-top. Maybe some of the best food I've had ever.. First class deal. Resturant turns into a nightclub after dinner service. Lot of talent. Supercars parked out front. The whole 9-yards. It's a wild scene. Worth doing, imo.

You have to go up to the top of the Burj Khalifa. Amazing views.

And go to the mall that has the ski thing and watch the penguin show. Yes. The penguin show. In the ****ing desert.

Then, you need to go swimming at the beach. If you go to the Marina area, the water is Caribbean light blue...it's amazing.

Bump...I have 2 days in Dubai (April 22/23). Outside of the above, anything else that I can't miss?
