I will be flying into SLC this weekend(6th to 10th). I'll be staying in the mountains in a cabin in Silver Fork, right close to Brighton. I have some ideas what to do but any suggestions would be helpful. I like hiking, sight-seeing, eating out, etc.

The hikes are sightseeing around here. These are some fan favorites that are accessible from Big Cottonwood Canyon (which is where you will be):

Alta Brighton Loop

Mill D to Desolation Lake

Donut Falls

Lake Blanche Trail

That's right there near Park City correct? Really enjoyed that town (Park City)… go grab a burger and beers at No Name Saloon after your hiking.

And Guardsman Pass should still be open making it a quick drive from BCC over to PC.

I didn't have any good SLC food suggestions, so the best bet probably is in Park City.

I always loved breakfast or brunch at Silver Fork.

- another vote for breakfast at Silver Fork (Big Cottonwood Canyon, near Brighton/Solitude)

- Oktoberfest is still going on weekends at Snowbird (little Cottonwood Canyon). That is a fun time. Can enjoy the German food and music, beers, and the rides all open (alpine slide, mtn coaster, tram to the peak, etc).

- Takashi for sushi in downtown SLC

- Millcreek Canyon also w a lot of great hikes.

I'll be spending a week in Draper, south of SLC. Any restaurants recommendations? We have no problem driving into SLC proper.

Thumbs up for Lake Blanche Trail. Good brown trout fishing in the Provo River. The bobsled run at Olympic Park was a blast!
