My partner and I have been discussing going on a cycling tour in Europe in the next two years, and I wanted to see if anyone had any tips or suggestions on routes. I've only started researching, and it's getting to be a little overwhelming with all of the choices. So far, we have looked at Norway, Costa Brava in northern Spain and Via Claudia Augusta from Italy to Germany. All of these look great, and there are many, many more options.

A Spaniard once remarked to me that he was going to bike the Camino. Said it only took about two weeks.

Check out Northern France/South Switzerland. This year a stage of Tour De France will be in Lausanne Switzerland. A beautiful areas on Lake Geneva and the French Alps.

I've hiked the Camino, and bikers passed us every day. Looked like a blast. Invest in some good shocks though. You spend lots of time on cobblestone roads. There were a few spots where the bikers had to carry their bikes, but it wasn't much.

I'm in the PNW. I have to be in Budapest in two weeks for work. Planning a short getaway on the tail via open jaw out of Barcelona.

I just want sun. So Girona is where I'm going for a spin.
