Anyone been? How long and best use of time?

I loved the Faroes. Easy cool flight from Reykjavik straight through a fjord. Rented a house with 3 friends after hiring a car at the airport. Stayed 10 days which was plenty. Lots of great hiking but also involves driving. Not a lot of lodging around the islands. A few restaurants that were very expensive but there were some nice grocery stores. Funny because it primarily a seagoing industry and the ladies are not very attractive at least what I saw, there are quite a few Thai and Filipinos.

How many days would you recommend? Was 10 too long?

10 days was somewhat long. Other than Torshauvn there are really not much civilization elsewhere. The southern Island of Sanduroy has some really cool areas. We did a lot of bare hiking along old sheep trails. One spends time connecting to sites but well worth the tripe as no tourists were seen. They did have a local brewery as well. You could do it in a week but find lodging that has a kitchen.

I think I did 5 days. I saw just about everything I wanted to except the roundabout. Wish I would've cruised to it. OY brewing is the one I think you're talking about. It was right across from my hotel. I remember it being pretty good.
