When in September? I'd call the course to see when they anticipate closing for the year.

Oktoberfest is fun if you're in town during that.

Last time I was out there during the summer we drove out to a gun club west of Vail and shot sporting clays on a wild course. It was pretty amazing shooting clays off the side of a cliff..

It was an outdoor outfitter type place so you could ride horseback or rent ATVs as well.

Looking for similar info - heading up there in July with a group of adults.

Also, any recommendations for really good/interesting places to eat within a reasonable driving distance to Breck?

Breckenridge Distillery has a great restaurant and a cool vibe. It was really good.

We love renting bikes and riding the paths or trails. Also, as to avoid dehydration make sure you locate the nearest brewery!!

Made a September trip up to Breckenridge with a group of guys from my country club and we had a blast playing multiple courses and seeing the town.

-Breckenridge Distillery is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!! ***one of my favorite whiskeys***
-Breckenridge golf course- 7 out of 10 great scenery, good course, nothing bad just not WOW
-Keystone Ranch Course- 8.5 out of 10 beautiful course, good food

everywhere is good to eat and a wonderful outdoor atmosphere during that time

I'm planning a bachelor party in Breck soon and looking to do some sport shooting off a mountain. Do you remember the name of the outfit?

Quandry Peak was still "snowed in" as of a week or two ago. Can't get to the peak unless you have crampons and are prepared for snow. Record winter snows and a very mild summer has left many of the 14'ers in snow. You can hike up to the beginning of the snow field however.

Reports on AllTrails now show multiple successful summits and reports of not needing any extra gear like crampons or even micro spikes.

Could have been a big melt since I was up there couple weeks ago (especially if it has rained). I would think the Blue River must be in full runoff mode if that is the case.

Our family (5 yr old twins) and the in laws are heading up to Breck last week and June. So far I've got a basic itinerary down, but was curious about other suggestions in case I've missed anything? We are staying Sat-Sat so about 6 full days to do stuff.

-Raft the colorado out of Kremmling
-golf at Breck golf course, possibly one more round another day?
-Go into Denver one night for Rockies game
-Country Boy gold mine
-wife and I plan on leaving kids with the in laws and hiking one day
-Borreas Pass Drive
-hang out in town a couple days and let the kids ride the gondola, possibly Epic Discover Park, we will go see the troll, and maybe a couple other little hikes near town they can do

any other cant miss type of things?

so far only have two days (rafting/golf) that are dedicated and locked down. Plan on just filling in the other activities above in the remaining days.

Hope you have a great trip, but 3 hours of driving to watch a ****ty baseball team seems like an odd mountain vacation move.

lol. fair point. Our family is big time baseball, so more less to check the stadium off the list.

Seemed pretty chill when we went the summer before covid. Big enough town it didn't seem crowded and lots of things to do.

DO NOT go to a day game and DO NOT get seats in the sun. You will burn like never before w the elevation.

There isn't really much to the Breck Gondola. It goes from the parking lot to the base. If you want a more expansive experience, the Vail gondolas go from the base up the mountain to various viewing decks and hikes.

The lake at the top of Kenosha Pass usually has a bull moose that hangs out there. Kinda cool and very pretty drive.

There is a pretty easy 9-mile bike ride from Breck to Frisco. You can do roundtrip but the ride back is uphill. They've got the electric bikes in town which made it very manageable. There is a bus that will bring you back if you want to do normal bike or you can do the 18-mile roundtrip.

We usually ride to Frisco and eat brunch in town, shop around a while, have a beer, then ride back. There is brewery about 2-miles out of Breck where we take a pit stop.
