He was 4-10 with a 4.5 ERA over in Japan last year. Combine that with him being a known ahole and the whole freaky sex thing and most clubs just aren't gonna want to deal with that.

What's funny to me is that a lot the training routine that Bauer was doing when he was coming up had him labelled as "difficult" because it wasn't mainstream. But if you look at pitcher's training routines now it is widely accepted.

Whether he is an a-hole or not, he is/was not the only one in MLB. Effectively getting banned for a false accusation should upset a lot of people.

My son pitches, and he has learned a ton from watching Bauer's show where he dissects every single pitch. It is really upped his mental game.

Same with my son and several of his teammates. In fact I have not seen a better YouTube channel or otherwise for this purpose. He is really good.

He also doesn't come off as a bad teammate either. Of course it is controlled media and he is older now, but they all seemed to like him

He's been a locker room cancer his entire career, including college at UCLA. He was a good enough pitcher for teams to deal with some of that, but that was Cy Young level pitching the year he was using sticky substances. He doesn't listen to coaches, he doesn't listen to catchers, he's an ******* to teammates. Once his pitching started to fall off, he started using sticky substances and won the Cy Young. That pitcher doesn't exist anymore, and teams don't want to deal with his BS anymore.

The rape allegation gave teams an excuse to get rid of him and ignore him for good. He was already pretty universally disliked before that.
