Was on Steve Nash's podcast and said first time he saw Reaves "he didn't play like a white boy". He had a lot of wiggle and explosiveness". Can you imagine this country if Cooper said "he didn't play like a black boy". "He played very smart"

Seems like fake news, LeBron was teammates with the bald mamba so he knows athleticism is color blind in the NBA.

Gotta say, I do enjoy seeing the Lakers / Lebron get hosed by the refs from time to time

As a lifelong Lakers fan I can't wait for the day this poster boy for millennials finally leaves town and takes his dips!*it son with him!

I have watched and paid attention very little to the Lakers since he got there, and so have a lot of other Laker fans. Made a Laker fan a non Laker fan, had it not been for Caruso I would have entirely quit watching. When he leaves, we'll all be back.

Also, a lifelong Lakers fan. I don't get the hate for him. I honestly disliked Kobe more for being such a ball hog and having such terrible shot selection. Also, having Bronny saves us a little money.

Only thing I can get on board with hating on LeBron is not sacrificing some salary so he can get better pieces around him. He's ****ed up his legacy by wanting the money more than wanting to win. The guy is a billionaire and has generational wealth. Now I'm not saying he hasn't been worth the money considering his statistical production but at the end of the day people are only going to remember the four rings in 23+ years.

I have hated the Lakers for 52 years, but in a big game, I'd take Kobe on two broken legs before I'd take LeBron in his prime.

<------Kobe 100% here

Kobe and Lesbrawn people are different people kinda like cat and dog people. Kobe came into the league with an enormous work ethic and drive to be the best, LesBrawn came in with his own nickname "King James" His nickname should be flopping quit on his team James

You're right - Kobe was a rapist and LeBron is not. They're way different people.

4 time champ. 4 time MVP. 4 time Finals MVP. 22 time All Star. 10 Finals Appearances. 21 All NBA teams, 13 of those first team. Playing high level ball still at 41. All time scoring leader regular season and playoffs.

Anybody that thinks LeBron doesn't also have an enormous work ethic and drive to be the best is pretty looney.

LeBron is the modern-day Wilt Chamberlain. All the stats in the world, but everyone would prefer Bill Russell on their team.

Dillon Brooks showing up with front row seats to heckle LeBron as he gets swept is hilarious.

If this ain't the biggest "rent free" moment, I don't know what is. Dude is on the Phoenix Suns... they went .549 for the season

Yeah, that's a really, really dumb look. Even for Dillon Brooks. His team literally got swept in the first round. Also by OKC. Dillon is vying with Draymond hard for "biggest chode in the NBA." Except Draymond has had a great career, and he's still Dillon Brooks.

This is worse than the Zoo talking trash about Arch/Stark/t.u. after they've beaten us back to back.

How did I miss this? Lebron had spent over a million dollars on his body. Is that not drive? Dedication? He has put together some of the greatest efforts to make himself the best version of himself. Put aside your hatred for a second. Even your boy Kobe had a lot of respect for Lebron

LOL lifelong Laker fan and liking LeBron over Kobe just absolutely doesn't compute. And this is coming from a locking Sours fan who got torched by Kobe a few times.

It does if you paid attention to Kobe's journey too. There were more than enough reasons to dislike Kobe. He was an extremely selfish player on the court. He tried to force trades multiple times when things weren't going the way he wanted. He, like LeBron, didn't sacrifice salary in his later years for a legit chance at more rings. He also most likely ran his body into the ground much quicker due to his superhuman work ethic. Harder unfortunately isn't always smarter.

Fair or unfair, for me, LeBron became persona non grata when he decided he was going to embrace his God complex with this little song and dance and shoving a bunch of kids in the background to act like he was Mr. Benevolent for raising money for charity.

And the followup, celebrating the 7+ titles we're going to win.*

Actual titles won: 2

I totally get it. Though… it actually did raise $6m for charity. And it's hard to knock him for having a complex about it. Where he'd go in free agency was probably consistently the biggest NBA story the prior season and into the off season.

And the pep rally was corny as hell and br****… but it was a pep rally. What'd you expect?
CharleyKerfeld
How long do you want to ignore this user?
LeBron could shake the loose change out his couch and donate $6 million to charity without having to shove a bunch of kids in the background to make it seem like he's some benevolent humanitarian.

And you're right; it's a pep rally. The sort of thing that high schools have. Not NBA squads predicting they'll win 7+ titles.

And I can't blame Lebron for the pep rally, I'm sure that was all the heat. Here's a podcast with Bosh talking about how they realized a couple days later how badly it was perceived.
