What are we working on, 3-5 or 7-9 players

Well since you are name dropping, I like Corcoran and Mansour from that team. Corcoran is the best player from the Houston area in my opinion. I could be convinced otherwise… just my opinion off the top of my head. Is Mansour committed? I was sure she was.

100% agree with every word. I'd only add that the cause is the portal plus the 28 roster limit.

I guess i don't understand that, wouldn't a marginal D1 player or one that is willing to sit on the bench couple years be better off going to mid major school, getting playing time and show their abilities and then get better offers from stronger D1 programs?
I thought most schools where paying full rides now anyway? Or if they are not hows that much different than before then?

I agree… that too is causing this problem. I wish they would expand the rosters or allow extra roster spots if a team takes on more HS players. For girls collegiate soccer has never been about money or playing professionally… it's always been about education and an unfortunate byproduct of the portal era is less girls getting a college education paid for because of athletic excellence. It's a shame really.

Is this Corecoran any relation to Matthew Corcoran from Nashville SC and the dad with Athltico Dallas?

Just saw an A&M scout at the Florida ECNL Showcase… nice to see the new regime putting in the work.

Pardon my contribution to the minor thread derailing, but I'll add some color to the NIL and "normal experience" discussion. My wife is faculty at a lower D1 and has seen significant impacts from the portal/NIL. The biggest thing being that kids are finding out that their program is going to cut them and replace them with a portal player DURING THEIR ACADEMIC SEMESTER and at a crucial time approaching finals. And it happens both semesters in all sports. Coaches will tell kids they're not gonna have a spot and they need to hit the portal. It's brutal. My wife has had several students fall into this and their grades plummet. Some to the point where they fail and wont be able to find another school.
I suppose if you want to be a jerk, you could blame the kid there, but my wife and I refuse to, and she absolutely hates having to stick to her standards and give bad grades in these situations.
For every kid that the portal helps, another kid gets screwed over.
