I own 3 ball watches. One of my favorite brands and fairly reasonable all things considered. My dad retired from 38yrs with the railroad so little nostalgia for me as well. Have a hydrocarbon engineer, engineer master ii and road master chronograph watches.

I wore that Engineer Hydrocarbon Chronograph every day for 17 years. I never had an issue with it. It was solid.

have you checked out Chrono24 or a similar site? You'll have more luck there than finding someone on this board.

If you want new, Jomashop should be fine as well. I know there are people on here that hate the "gray market" spots, but I think it would be fine in that price range.
