The new "toughest places to play" rankings just released for CFB27 video game, and Kyle Field is ranked #10 behind:

1. LSU
2. OSU
3. PSU
4. UGA
5. Bama
6. Oregon
7. Florida
8. Tennessee
9. Clemson

This is a horrendous ranking. Get OSU and Clemson out of the top 10 and reshuffle the rest.

Id say thats fairly accurate

I'd say we're 1-3, Oregon should be higher, and Tennessee and OSU shouldn't be top 10

So last season we went to the toughest place to play in football and utterly destroyed the dirty kitties and made them quit, and made these staunch fans desert their team in the second half? Pretty cool.

Yeah it was an awesome win. I'm not saying LSU is 1, they are top 3 though gotta give them that, and Kyle field is better

You can't put LSU first the year after their fans cleared out at halftime.

LSU is only top 3 if it's a night game.

Some stadiums are great day and night. LSU not so much.

Oregon Vols and A&M are all good day or night.

Due to the configuration of Kyle, much of the crowd noise does not reach the field

Who the **** knows?

LSU belongs. Only place that is simultaneously the toughest place to play for both the home and away team.

I don't know who should be #1 on such a list. I can make a case for LSU, but not currently given how we owned the place last October. And Florida, pffft. I believe the Ags have lost only once there, the very first time we played them decades ago, but are currently on a 2-game win streak.

Kyle should definitely be higher on the list.

Texas A&M isn't in the top 25 in terms of home winning percentage since 2000.

How would we be in the top 3 toughest places to play?

Ask Nick Saban why he says A&M is the hardest place to play in CFB.

When you realize there are more factors to winning football games than the venue (like quality of coaches and players on the field) maybe you'll finally get it.

The stadiums that are home to the best teams are the toughest places to play.

Kyle is loud and impressive. If put it at the top of THAT list. But "toughest" would seem to indicate that we never lose at home. That hasn't been the case in over 30 years. And that kills me.

Totally disagree with your criteria. Toughest place to play falls directly on the stadium atmosphere. While that does help teams win it's obviously not the only criteria. Coaching and the actual team plays a part.

"Toughest place to play" has nothing to do with noise and everything to do with winning percentage at home.

The sips and Hurricanes have no issues winning at Kyle Field

Some of these teams in the top 20 are up there just based on how good their teams have been, and not the stadium atmosphere. Shocking that better rosters beat weaker ones. I rarely see anyone talking about The Shoe being loud, but Williams-Brice gets talked up a lot and could be in the top 10. As for the loudest atmospheres, places like Kyle, Death Valley, Neyland, they're pretty interchangeable. A couple of years back, they had Kyle #1, and people threw a fit just because our teams have been underwhelming, even though we're consistently one of the loudest places to play no matter how crap or team is playing.

And JMU is No. 5, just a few spots behind No. 1 Bethune-Cookman! A couple of top notch venues!

Going back to 2000 is silly.

Evaluating those numbers blindly without any context is even sillier.

I don't know how yall haven't figured it out yet that most of these types of ranking lists are to drive engagement.

The loudest game I ever been to and it started from when when we're walking up the ramps to get to
our seats and ended once we hit the grounds outside of the stadium was n Houston watching USA vs Mexico.

The loudest I have heard a Kyle was the OU game. Man my ears were crackling, but those moments only lasted for short periods. My benchmark for how loud a stadium can be and for how long it can stay loud has forever changed.

  • I have heard coaches from other schools constantly state A&M is one of toughest places to play. This is with all our different coaching staffs and different teams. The only consistent thing was the atmosphere the Aggie fan base brings!

Any place is usually hard to win if the home team has a very good football team. I went to Florida game when Mond was QB. Their atmosphere was dead as both teams were very average and they even expected to lose. My daughter went to Alabama the year after Saban won his last natty. Overall pretty good but that fan base just expects to win so they only bring good energy on key parts of the game. A Saban team with that talent if he coached at atm would have been unbeatable. Our atmosphere is still very good even when our team is just average . That to me is what really defines a good atmosphere.

This. Since the advent of smart phones and since the rebuild Kyle hasn't exactly provided a strong home field advantage.
