a 20-plus-minute video released Thursday night, Texas Tech officials defended their integrity and reiterated their support for Brendan Sorsby amid widespread criticism from the rest of the Big 12 Conference and other corners of college sports to the likelihood of the quarterback playing for the Red Raiders this fall.

The spin they're attempting to justify all of this is making things so much worse. And I'm loving every second of it.

Now they're basically saying they're heroes. "Look at how we've rallied around our family member" (he's been there 6 months) "and are helping him recover from this disease."

So utterly transparent, hollow, and pathetic. I'm so glad the rest of the country is getting to see them for who they are. First their softball team and now this debacle.

This is good for tech, and with Sorsby they will be in the playoffs. Much better odds for them than us. Sorsby may even bet on tech to win it all?

I would imagine a few second stringers will be told to go for his knees even after the play is over.

I've said this in another thread, but if Joey McGuire had one ounce of personal integrity, he could make this problem would go away. Dismiss the kid from the team for violating team rules. Of all the people who are going to take a hit on this, McGuire is probably at the top of the list. He'll never get the stink off of him. Eventually, he will find himself exiled to Art Briles Banned Camp.

Not sure he has violated any tech team rules tbh, a better approach would be to simply back the ncaa punishment and cut the kid and let someone else deal w it

They are getting marching orders and they will do what is told, what your seeing is weak men with pathetic reasons as to why they are supporting a known gambler who is getting paid 6 million dollars.
