Just noticed he is in the portal. Isn't he the one that was committed to us and switched commitment really late?

Yes...another spoiled brat who was given a 4 or 5 star by some idiot, which ultimately made Longstreet think that he is God's gift to the world, which ultimately cause him to transfer to 3 schools in the next 6 years with minimal playing time, which ultimately will end in a 6 year roller coaster ride, no degree, with a bartending career down the road.

Does he also have a wannabe influencer sister who looks exactly like him and is a giant sloot?

Yep the downside of the portal for the players will be a rude awakening for many. Multiple transfers. Not enough credit hours at the last school to fulfill degree requirements. A bunch of 25 year olds with crushed dreams and a blue collar career.

He might land at LSU unless Kiffin can get Leavity back in the fold

You may be surprised to discover this, but most of these kids aren't concerned about getting a degree.

And some of the wealthiest most successful people I've ever known are "blue collar"

Nothing like the arrogance of someone with a college degree that hasn't figured out that it isn't worth much these days...

Don't they all? I think you can draw a straight line between hotshot qb production with hot, sloot influencer sister. It's not favorable. I would definitely use ****** parents and sloot sisters when building a recruiting profile on potential recruits. I'm sure there are exceptions but...

I think we all understand that most of the kids at power 4 schools have little interest in getting a degree. The past 3-4 years have intensified this issue. It used to be that as a side effect of wanting to play college football, a lot of kids ended up transforming their futures by way of receiving a top notch education from great universities.

To me, that's been the dumbest part of the emergence of the transfer portal. We're still talking about COLLEGE football here, but the college part of it has been essentially excised in the past four years. I liked the rule that allowed for instant transfer once a kid got his degree. I don't mind kids being able to transfer once without penalty. But at this point, there are thousands of kids that like KatyAggie pointed out, have no path to a degree with their random assortment of hours from the 5 schools they've attended.

One of the great things about college athletic scholarships in the past was the transformative power of education to pull a kid up by the bootstraps from a tough background and give them a chance to do whatever they want in the future. Also, it's not arrogance, a college degree still is a great indicator of future earning potential. Not all degrees are created equally, but all things considered, any rational person would rather be in the job market with a degree vs. without a degree.

Looks like Kiffin might have struck out on both Longstreet and Leavitt. LSU just got Elon's QB, Landen Clark

He'll either be the 2nd coming of Trinidad Chambliss or Kiffin will be on the hot seat entering year 2.

LSU had literally zero QB's on the roster, they are probably brining in at least 3 from the portal. I'm sure the Elong guy is a depth piece

Nope, HVAC guys, solar installers and many other working class positions are well compensated. I'm a t-shirt Ag with a GED and few Aggie correspondence courses under my belt and I make six figures working from my bedroom in my PJs.

I would be surprised if it's Leavitt, I don't know how he could trust Lane after everything that happened and I'm sure Miami will offer him an equal package to what LSU offered

I expect it to be Longstreet

I agree, back-room rumblings that his brother is really difficult to deal with, but Lane is awaiting his decision. I'd be content with Clark and Longstreet and let them compete.

ETA: maybe it will be Leavitt, Miami offering a bag to Simpson to stay out of draft, they must not feel good about Leavitt. Raiola just signed with Oregon.

Yep and I'm hearing Longstreet might join him. BR friends of mine says Longstreet's dad is looking at houses. Happy with the competition.

If both Leavitt and Longstreet are going to LSU I don't have a clue how they're going to field a team next year. Over 1/4 of their nil budget would be tied up in QB's in that scenario.

I also have no idea why Leavitt would pick LSU over Miami. Miami is returning a bunch of talent on the offense next year. LSU is a complete rebuild and I'm not sure what their OL is looking like.

Curious, where are you seeing hard #'s to back up the 25% of the NIL budget? Post that link if you don't mind.

This isn't just wrong, it actually might be the most wrong post ever as it is looking like both Longstreet and Leavitt are going to end up at LSU lol.

Good call.

Well reports are the Leavitt deal is for $5.5 million and I'm sure Longstreet and the Elon guy are pulling in at least $3 million together (most likely more).

$8.5 million is 25% of $34 million...is your NIL budget north of that?

When LSU hired Kiffin they put it into their contract that they would give an annual nil budget of 25-30 mil. I'm going to take a pretty safe guess and say that Longstreet and Leavitt are combining for over 5 mil since both guys are getting offers to start at big P4 schools.

Maybe Kiffin got some private donors to take up the bill.

To be fair, a lot of NFL teams use about 20-25% of their salary cap on the quarterback position.
