Yep.....I heard his hands were the worst burned and they thought he might lose them both, but now they're saying no, but will need many surgeries and skin graphs.

I read that Jordan was operating a machine on his farm that caught fire. He was able to escape while suffering burns, and a co-worker was able to help him. I wonder if it was a tractor that caught fire. Wish the best for him.

Hoping he is ok, but sounds like they got him quick, and burn treatment capabilities have come a long ways. Have dealt with too much burn trauma in our family. A cousin was an electrical lineman 25 years ago or so and got burned badly in a power line accident. 3rd degree burns over 40% of his body. Months in the hospital, long, long recovery, and his wounds, now long healed, still look like a state fair turkey leg.

And then an aunt of mine, just a little over a year ago, at her house in Big Sky, the house exploded from a gas leak. Thankfully she was right by an exterior wall and was blown out of the house rather than burned inside, but still suffered 3rd degree burns on her back, hands, and face. She is still going through the recovery phase of everything, and she is not 100% what she was prior, but she looks fantastic, her wounds while noticeable, at a distance you might not realize it.

I only use those two examples we've dealt with to show how far the tech and capabilities of the medical profession have come in those 25 years, and how well they can mend up a burn victim like that. God wiling he will keep his extremities and recover and be back at it soon. Modern medicine, as frustrating as it can be at times, is truly amazing sometimes as well.

Damn. Hope he recovers fully.

I bet it was a skid steer. A friend had a Case Quadtrac catch fire and the employee was able to jump out without suffering any burns. Tractors have much larger cabs, although the employee said he had to jump thru flames getting off. He was lucky not to break a bunch of bones hitting the ground from that high up. He said it was amazing how fast a little white smoke turned into a fully engulfed tractor.

I've heard people talk about fires in skid steers being worse. I wonder which brand and model it was. If anyone knows, please post it. When I was buying, the fire issue was a factor.

I read it was a skid steer and he flipped it causing the fire. I haven't seen what brand it was though.

Its a good family. Prayers!

From that picture he's intubated so that's not good. Could be a photo immediately postop but perhaps it was done as a precaution for inhalation injury which is a more dire and complicated burn. Hope that's not the case here

I got to meet Jordan and Colt McCoy when they did a little promo deal of Bass Pro Alton Jones driving his Skeeter bass boat and Colt threw a pass to Jordan in the boat.
A very fun and nice guy. Prayers that he recovers fully.
