My F-150 is ten years old, and I just got this yesterday. Anyone else get something similar?

Got it for my 2015 F250. The screen had been acting up but every time I tried to schedule the repair they said they had no cameras in stock and they were all back ordered. Ended up replacing the ground wire in the harness as that is a common problem. Found it down to just a couple strands holding it on. It's worked great since.

I'm in the 15 year window and already had to replace the camera myself. Wonder if they would still fix it for me because the current camera sucks.

Yep 7 year old truck and got the letter Monday.

Any Idea if that would apply to a 2017 Lincoln Navigator? My backup screen sometimes goes out.

I had this done via the Ford Mobile Service on my '16 F350 last month. They came to my house which was super convenient.

I actually had just starting having issues with my camera the month prior to getting the letter. I had taken the harness and camera apart and fixed that ground wire like you mentioned but it didn't fix it. That little 18" harness is like $500 from Ford. I bought a cheap one off Amazon and it didn't work at all. So I put the old, repaired harness back in.

The guy got it to act up in my driveway (it was intermittent) and thus was able to complete the "recall". Got a new camera (not a new harness) and a new Ford emblem. Its been working great ever since.

I think the issue is the pins on the camera where the harness connects. Something shorts out or gets wonky in there

I still need to get this done on my '17 expedition

Got it in the mail the other day for my 2017 F150. Haven't had any issues with it that I can think of.

2021 does the same thing. Restart it and it clears up. Think it is a recall on the 2021 but they dont have a software update to fix it yet.

Never buy another one. The dang thing lowers the front end during engine stops, and there isn't a button to disable it.

I have a 2013 - how can I get mine to crap out and get a new camera?

Mine already did crap out and I want my crappy Amazon one replaced. Also a 2013.
