Two guys were spitting images of Jake & Elwood though, the loud speaker was a nice touch too!

since when is draggin your Lo Lo's and 3 wheel leaners with hundred spokes considered part of the art car parade...

I think Blues Brothers 2000 used one of those boxy LTDs, but I don't think there was a scene with the huge PA on the roof of that car.

the weird one you posted is actually one of my neighbors. i saw him putting it together last year and he nearly blew my eardrums out with that engine. amazing how much it's changed over the year

Really? Looked to me like an old cab-over tractor and sounded like an old 2 cycle Detroit. Have any idea how many VW hoods he used? I meant to go look at it when the parade was over but couldn't find it...wanted a closer look.

When they get the band together and they are trying to get people to the hotel for the "big" show, they steal a horn like that from the lake (Lake Michigan) and place it on their car. Elwood (Dan Akroyd) is the one speaking into it.

It is ripped off when they drive under a bridge to get away from the concert.

And I thought they used a Ford Crown Vic in the movie? I guess I was wrong...

How about covering one of our vehicles in Pep Boys accessories and port-holes and put it in the art car parade next year?

Could just put magnetic backings on all of them...benefit the Unnecessary Accessory Society?

hmmm, that's odd. of course, when i heard him fire it up, it was last year. but he told me it was a legit semi engine...i know crap about engines like that, so i really can't remmeber the specs on it, but it was powerful as heck.

no idea on the VW hoods, but i'll swing by and see if he's around. last year, it was nothing more than a big metal igloo... all that decorative stuff now is new.
