The brokeback billboard on 45 near Hobby got me good the other day.

He went about this all wrong. He could've just gotten another Vietnamese lawyer named Nguyen and act like nothing changed.

Would've been a bit straight out of a tv show actor recasting no one ever acknowledges.

He had the perfect replacement, can you imagine the taglines & billboards they'd have?!

Was shocked to learn when looking at the referenced Instagram post hat Tony Buzbee has a podcast. I assume his podcast is just him talking about how awesome he is.

Just from the few clips. Its Buzbee being Buzbee and its marketing all the way down. Podcasts and clips of podcasts are great soft forms to get your name out there. Buzbee shows up, explains why billboard lawyers suck, and ends with why its the smart move to pick him over those guys anyway.

And he does have a point, Buzbee can probably extract more flesh because he has a history of doing so, but thats tough to tease out.

I did have to laugh when he did the ole evangelical preacher prayer hands together when talking about how the client is the most important part.

Dude knows his stuff and his audience.

I mean if I could live a mid level lawyer lifestyle and not have to practice law, I'd probably take the billboard route too.

Yeah that's not true at all. Plenty of other lawyers try cases. There are numerous PI trials in our civil courts every week and most of them are not those lawyers/firms.

It's only embarrassing if you possess the capability to feel shame, but these are lawyers we're talking about.

Seeing the new Pusch/Wynne billboards is making me feel like I'm living in a reality where the timeline was altered just a little bit and this is foreshadowing for a much larger problem later in the movie.

I have concerns.

I'm imagining a Jerry McGuire crash out where Nguyen was trying to get Nguyen-Wynn law firm to happen but Putsch was a step ahead.

I can't speak for Pusch on the academic side but he is an Aggie. Know someone who knew him at A&M.

As for the years, class year and degree conferred often doesn't line up.

The Association will list class year which is 4 years from high school most of the time. Some people take victory laps and others change majors.

Class of '08 with a degree conferred in 2010 isn't terribly out of line.
