Hey everyone - the Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show and Rodeo is coming up at the end of this week. If you haven't been before and you live out on the west side you should definitely come out. I know Katy is growing, but the Rodeo still has more of a small town feel to it. You're definitely closer to the action here than at the big rodeo in town.
Katy Rodeo is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 7pm. Kids 12 and under free Thursday with an adult. Livestock show runs Thursday and Friday earlier in the day, if you're into that kind of thing. Thursday and Friday you can also get to the rodeo early and walk the show barn and let the kids experience all the sites and smells of their favorite livestock animals.
Saturday morning there is a parade that runs right through Old Katy, that's also always a good time.
If you're looking to support the KISD FFA students, the sale is Saturday afternoon.
