Looking for any specific recommendations (or not) for central houston area re-pipe. TIA

Call Carlos at the Repipe Company. They do good work. Ours was in the $6,000 range. 2 story, 4 bed, 2 1/2 bath.

They are high on everything. They did an estimate for our insurance company a few years ago and were double everyone else. Only have to do half the work is your charge twice as much though.Quote:
Herndon/Muncey did the hydrotest and gave a $12k quote, which seem extremely high.
Did that include the dry wall, texture, and paint?NoahAg said:

I'll have to look up the exact amount but it did include dry wall and texture. They have a base price that includes a certain number of kitchen, bathroom, etc connections. Then you can add on "extras" if you have additional hose bibs or other that you want repiped.Sooper Jeenyus said:Did that include the dry wall, texture, and paint?NoahAg said:

Thanks for the info.
Good texture match?
Highly recommend SandTech for under-slab work.Tormentos said:
Speaking from personal experience on sewer lines...
I second the recommendation for Michael Busch. He only does inspections and will give you solid advice. I have now used him on 2 house purchases and another deal that fell though.
I ended up using Sandtech for my sewer line replacement which included under slab tunneling on kitchen and bath lines. They weren't the lowest but had better pricing than companies like Chruch. I highly recommend Sandtech.
I haven't repiped my supply lines yet but its coming...

are leaks in under slab plumbing ever typically by insurance? I have a call in with them soon... just trying to see if something sticks

I don't have experience with ePipe, just the repipe I mentioned above. But a couple of thoughts:aggiemike02 said:
Thanks. Appreciate all the good info so far.
Has anyone done ePIPE? We don't have any leaks and our pipe is ~30 years old, so this being less destructive, faster and won't have the added expense of fixing the walls seems quite appealing. Talked with them today and the quote is comparable to a full repipe + wall repair.
