Howdy All,

Has anyone flown out of Easterwood since the TSA funding ended?
Does it change the 15-20 minute TSA process?

They just showed it on the news. You may have a 30-60 second delay. I'd leave now if you have a flight in the morning. With traffic and all, no telling.

Scott flew out Sunday. I dont think anyone else was actually in line. He got there maybe 30 minutes before his flight...

He got to Santa Fe for his return flight 15 minutes before it left (yeah.. running late). Had no wait there either.

Despite the cost (compared to IAH) I started flying out of Easterwood again at Christmas, and I think I'll be sticking to this plan.

A 15-20 minute TSA check at Easterwood is usual? That would be a massive delay from my Easterwood experiences.

Easterwood does passengers for 1 flight at a time. I seriously doubt they will experience any worrying delays.

It is not the flight out of CLL, it is the trip back to CLL.

I like CLL.
I HATE American.
Got stranded in DFW too many times to continue to fly them. I go out of IAH now, even with it meaning I have to take the shuttle or drive/park there. Even with the construction and bad design of the airport, I get to sleep in my bed every time I fly in/out of IAH.

I even missed the shuttle and caught an Uber home once. Cost me about $100, but was better than sleeping in an overpriced hotel and catching the early shuttle.

Oh I get that, and I've done the Uber from IAH too esp after a long intl. flight. I'm happy to use IAH again once they get this cluster under control.

Yep.

My wife and several of my co-workers have experienced delays or cancellations going out of or back to CLL.

A co-worker and I are travel buddies and we always drive to IAH and other than having to get up at 4am, we have no other issues. Our co-workers going from CLL or even Austin have had delays and cancellations and either gotten to a conference super late or missed the entire first day.

We also only take direct flights. No stop-overs or connections. Yeah, it costs a little more and we have to get up early, but it's worth it.
