I think this may have been previously discussed before, but where is the best cheesecake around town? I don't mind if it is somewhere like Sam's or Costco either. Preferably one that has multiple flavors, but any recs are welcome.

Check with Zeitman's? Maybe they can special order the good stuff from NYC.
Cottage bakers can make them now (with a few caveats). I know trouble does.

Creme Brulee Cheescake at La Bodega. We resurrected the one we used to make at Cafe Eccell.

No, cottage bakers is what the state calls home bakeries. Mine is There Will Be Pie. I do make excellent cheesecake but we just moved so I am closed through the end of the year. I'm not even sure WHERE my cheesecake pans are right now.

I am also a cottage baker (Smashed Cakes). But im pregnant, and am not taking any more orders until baby is born in April. I have developed carpal tunnel, which makes decorating cakes a bit hard (and I have my last 3 due on Thursday! Yikes!)

If its holiday season, yes. The order I have due on Thursday has been on the books for a while.
I believe The Chocolate Factory in downtown Bryan can do cheesecakes. Not cheap, though.
Honestly, nowhere will be cheap unless its a grocery store. Last we checked, saltgrass was around $70 for a whole cheesecake, and I felt like that was a decent price for it.

Darn. If I was going to pay that much, I would just make my own. I'm no baker, but I actually have made cheesecake before, and it came out great. Just have to be able to follow a recipe.
They actually are fairly easy to make, by baking standards. Plus you get quality control from start to finish.
A good spring form pan is your friend, and they're great for savory pies of the sort you find in the UK!

I messed up once and didn't cook it long enough. Tasted good, but it was more like pudding in the middle.

It'll do that.
Bake slow and low, cool slowly, refrigerate overnight. Perfection.
My flavored ones are $50. Most people just don't want to put in the time needed to make one.
My mom requested a springform pan for Christmas one year for this very purpose.
I use mine for steak and kidney pie when friends get together for Premier League matches. Maybe I should use a different one for cheesecake.
If I'm not mistaken, Barnes and Noble in the coffee shop used to carry Cheesecake Factory ones.

Update: Currently at Casa de Trouble enjoying some delicious key lime cheesecake and the angels are, in fact, singing. Amazing.
