Friendly reminder that the 41st MS150 is next Saturday and Sunday. Saturday won't have much impact locally as the closest we get is Belleville late morning on Saturday. Sunday will impact several areas around town from 47/60 to campus. The route is unchanged from the past couple of years.
Riders will start entering College Station from Snook on Highway 60 probably around 11. 47 onto eastbound 60 will be closed and they will force all 47 traffic to turn right onto 60 and let you do a U Turn a mile or so west if you need to go east.
Riders will exit 60 at Easterwood and cut over to F&B road. We will cross 2818 at F&B and historically this has been a traffic problem so avoid this area if you can. They will stop riders until there's a lot of us but still traffic backs up here.
Riders turn right onto Agronomy Rd and cross University which is the other major traffic problem. Similar to 2818 they will stop us until we're bunched up but it's going to cause delays.
From there we're on campus and don't leave again with the finish line being at Aggie Park. My guess is most everyone will be done by 330 or 4 with the course officially closing at 530.
My $.02 is to avoid 2818 and F&B and University and Agronomy Sunday from about 11 - 4. If you're coming into town on 47 I would exit Villa Maria and take that to Texas to avoid 2818. Yes it's a nuisance but it raises a lot of money for a great cause. As of today there's a bit over 5000 riders signed up and over $7m has been raised.
Thanks in advance for your patience.
