Looking for some tips and recommendations. Me and a couple of buddies are wanting to go on an Alaskan camping trip and think that the dry cabin route is our best bet. Would definitely like any tips or recommendations if anyone has done something like this before. Aiming to go August/September. Also any tips in terms of gear that we should take is appreciated.

Is there such a thing as Alaska Wet Cabin Camping? If so I'm gonna pass on that one. I prefer my cabins to be dry no matter the state they are located.

I have never been but have read a lot on this option. Pretty sure every cabin lists what it has available including some have Jon boats included. Would likely need to rent a small outboard for it. Also lists how to access - many are float plane or boat only access

I think the term "dry cabin" means no running water or electricity lol. Which I guess would mean wet cabin has water and electricity?

I would not recommend camping in an abandoned bus. Wet or dry.

Just stay in a Motel 6, it's as close to dry camping as it gets

Bring the best bug spray money can buy and bring twice as much as you think you will need.

You might say 'I grew up in Texas or wherever and I have seen bad mosquitoes…. No you haven't.
I don’t say this in a braggedocious way. But it’s true. I’ve been right about everything.

The river is what causes the whole issue!
