I've never worn a hip quiver. Mostly because I think they look dumb, but also never really saw a reason to. Have started shooting a lot more 3D, and using PVC in backpack drink pocket has become enough of a PITA that I'm ready to bite the bullet. Really don't want something huge, as the thought of a bunch of weight on my hip or leg isn't really appealing.

The course I've been shooting is 3+ miles and over 2 hours, so I usually carry some snacks and water with me. Ideally I'd like something smaller to carry arrows in and would still carry Nalgene chicken nuggets, etc in small backpack.

Any suggestions?

Here is a link to numerous target quivers: https://lancasterarchery.com/collections/target-3d-quivers

Marsupial Gear is making some nice stuff these days for target archers.

Lancaster Archery is one of the largest target archery online retailers going. When I was into target archery, Lancaster was my go to place for stuff.

Edit: If marsupial is more than you want to spend, the old "Vista" brand quivers served me very well for many, many years in 3-D and Target archery and is 1/4 to 1/3 the price.

I've seen the marsupial. Looks long. The do make really good stuff though. I have their bino harness and love it.

This intrigues me

Admittedly leaning heavily in that direction, but wasn't sure if there were benefits of the marsupial "wing" style I was overlooking.

Also- dont necessarily need release/rangefinder pouch… I plan on wearing my bino harness and keep both in there.

3D shoots I used to shoot in didn't allow rangefinders. Only Binoculars.

Admittedly that was a few years ago though, lol

If you are looking to keep it light and maneuverable, that Push looks to fit the bill nicely. I've always been one of those guys that packs 2 bags for an overnight trip, so I would personally opt for the Marsupial....LOL.

Cant you just cut the back pockets off a pair of jeans and stitch them together to strap to your hip? Would be the right length for you. J/k

After 40 arrows at the house, I really like this thing. Was originally going to get green/tan but it was sold out, so I went with the "Wine". Glad I did, it looks really sharp. Bought it mainly for 3d course but it is very handy.

By far my favorite thing is the magnetic attachment… I typically wear gym shorts at the house and I can attach it over the waistband. Also the magnets keep your arrow from sliding out, even if the quiver is flipped (and that's w/partially stainless field points)

Also, I typically shoot w/ bow, bino/tripod, and homemade arrow holder. The elimination of the PVC arrow holder makes it much easier to move between distances.

Small pocket on the front is perfect for keeping my release between sessions. The zipper is really smooth, so smooth that I was able to easily adjust w/one hand and not really budge the quiver. Zipper pocket also has a non zippered pocket that I kept my release in while I pulled arrows. Molle webbing ended up being perfect to hang my sunglasses on.

Suits my needs pretty much perfectly.
