I will be in the market for a finished lab this year. Hunting partner, not field trial. Curious if anyone can give me an indication on cost for a dog like this?

The starting point is probably somewhere around 7K and will go up from there.

What is you definition of "finished"? Is it simply a steady do that goes out and picks up a bird and brings it back? Or is it a dog that will run a 200 yard blind past poison birds? Reason why I am asking this question is your definition of "finished" and the hunt test/field trial definition of "finished" could be two very different things.

Now that I am thinking about this I know of a lady that lost her husband a few years ago and is looking to sell their lab. I have never seen the dog in person but I know for a fact he has a master national plate so he has reached and passed the pinnacle of AKC hunt tests.
